Radio Ministry: A New Day

Big Creek Church’s Radio Ministry, A New Day, exists to fulfill our mission of reaching out to the region by broadcasting short, yet powerful and thought-provoking devotions created by our Senior Pastor, Johnie Akers.

Our radio program, A New Day with Pastor Akers, airs each weekday morning on 104.7 WJMD at 7:05am. WJMD reaches the communities of Hazard, Hindman, and Whitesburg and portions of Perry, Leslie, Letcher, Knott, and Breathitt counties. For those out of our coverage area, you can read each day’s devotion online at BigCreek.org and even sign up to get in your inbox each morning!
